Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of Playtest Hub, a platform that connects indie game studios with playtesters. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Playtest Hub allows studios to publish private game builds, run playtests with approved testers, collect structured feedback and reward participation with Credits.
The platform is currently in beta and features may change over time.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and choose a permanent username. Usernames are unique, public and cannot be changed after registration.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
3. Studios
Studios must own or have the rights to distribute the builds they upload.
Studios are responsible for the feedback forms, rewards and communication directed at their testers.
Promised Credit rewards for completed playtests and confirmed bugs must be honoured.
4. Testers
Testers get access to private, unreleased builds. Sharing download links, builds or confidential game content outside the platform is not allowed.
Feedback and bug reports must be honest and based on actually playing the build.
5. Credits
Credits are a virtual reward currency inside Playtest Hub. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred between users.
Each studio can distribute up to 10,000 Credits per month. Unused monthly allowance does not carry over.
Credits already awarded to testers are final and cannot be reversed by the studio.
6. Content and conduct
You retain ownership of the content you create. By publishing content on Playtest Hub, you grant the platform the right to display it to the users it is intended for.
Abusive behaviour, spam, cheating the reward system or attempting to access private data may result in account suspension.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update these terms; continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the new terms.
8. Limitation of liability
Playtest Hub is provided "as is" during the beta. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost data or lost profits resulting from the use of the platform.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the Playtest Hub platform or by email.
