This Privacy Policy explains what information Playtest Hub collects, how it is used and what is visible to other users of the platform.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, a permanent username you choose, and your account type (studio or tester).
When you complete your profile, we store the information you provide: display name, avatar, bio, platforms and favourite genres for testers, and studio name, description and website for studios.
When you use the platform, we store the content you create: games, builds, playtests, feedback forms and answers, bug reports, comments, follows and Credit transactions.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate the platform: authenticating your account, connecting studios and testers, delivering notifications, processing Credit rewards and displaying public profiles.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. What is public
Your username, display name, avatar, bio and public activity (such as game and playtest status changes) are visible to other signed-in users who visit your public profile.
Studios' active games — including cover image, description, genre and platforms — are visible to signed-in users on the studio's public profile.
4. What stays private
Your email address is never shown to other users.
Build download links are only revealed to testers approved by the studio for that specific playtest.
Feedback answers, bug reports and playtest results are only visible to the studio that runs the playtest and the tester who submitted them.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking cookies of our own.
6. Third-party services
Authentication is provided by our infrastructure provider, and you may sign in with your Google account.
Public pages of the site may display advertising served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies to personalize ads. You can learn more in Google's own privacy policy.
7. Data retention and deletion
Completed playtests are kept permanently as read-only records, including their results, answers and reward history.
You may request the deletion of your account by contacting us through the platform.
